M s. Br ow n's Not es Happy Friday, Highlanders! Another great week has come to a close. Our volleyball and football teams have begun practicing for their upcoming games. ASB candidates are eagerly awaiting their election day next Tuesday. We had our first PTSA meeting, and are always thankful for the generous and steadfast support of our school community partnership. At Foothills, school supervision ends at 2:55 unless your child is attending a dance or on a team having practice or game/performance. Please remind your student to wait safely in the front office for transportation and do not leave campus between the dismissal bell and the expected arrival time of transportation. The bus and transit do not arrive at the same time so students must not leave campus in order to reliably catch their ride each day. We aim to develop responsible life skills in our students, while also keeping them (and you) safe. Please review these important dates and reminders for the good of all!

PTSA New s, con t Dear Highlander Parents, Thank you to all of the families that donated to our FMS PTA Direct Donation campaign at Scottie days last month.
Through your generosity and support, we have raised $5,694.00 Your donations will help us to enrich the educational experience for all students at FMS by providing key programs and events throughout the year. If you were NOT able to make a donation yet, its NOT too late!
As of today, we are still $6,306 short of our fundraising budgeted goal. We need your help to reach our fundraising goal of $12,000, to maintain the following programs the FMS PTSA provides to our school. Our goal is to raise enough funds through donations given directly to the FMS PTSA to avoid other fundraisers and use 100% of funds raised to run the following programs. Bi-Annual Book Fairs
Teacher Gift Allotment for each Classroom
Gifts to Foothills Middle School
Funding for ASB that supports Clubs and Sports
Funds for the Library to purchase Books
Child Health Council
Reflections Competition made possible by PTSA volunteers
Support for Community Programs:
Assistance League's Operation School Bell
Unity Center
Talent Show made possible by PTSA Volunteers
Teacher Appreciation Recognition Event
Teacher Treats ? Quarterly lunch for Faculty
Alumni Scholarships
Transportation (supplemental funds for Field Trips)
Camperships for Local Charity Organizations
Book Battles
Red Ribbon Week
Please consider giving to the Foothills Middle School Direct Donation campaign to keep these programs running by bringing a check payable to Foothills Middle School PTSA. You or your child can turn this into the front office. A suggested amount of $50-$70 will help us continue to support our PTSA programs but any denomination will be appreciated . Please note both the PTSA Direct Donation campaign and PTSA Membership dues are both very important but are separate items as 100% of your direct donation will stay at Foothills Middle School.

Chinese Patent Club is a volunteer, non-profit organization. We are an important bridge between parents, our school, PTSA and other school clubs. We provide information and communication channels to enable parents to better understand and participate in various school activities. We have a members only Wechat group which serves as an interactive platform for our members to communicate in school related issues. Each year, we organize events and seminars on parenting and education related topics to help parents in understanding some of the challenges that our children are facing while they are growing and learning. Besides, we also organize Spring Teacher Appreciation Banquet, the Chinese Culture Day and other volunteer works for our school. We encourage all parents who understand Chinese to join our volunteer team and to participate in our school activities. Through our club activities, you can also meet other parents of our schools. The main source of our funding is coming from annual membership fee. We appreciate your support and join us as members. Please feel free to contact us at
