M s. Br ow n's Not es Happy Friday, Highlanders! This may be the longest newsletter yet! Eleven pages (yes, 11) so I will be brief in my notes. Boys and girls soccer teams are in playoff games this coming week - Way to go, Highlanders! Our school was well represented at the Temple City Camellia festival last weekend. Auxiliary received 1st place, drill team and drum major both got 2nd place and the band received 3rd place. Great news! This week we have evening meetings. Tuesday is a voting day, and FMS is a polling location, so please be mindful of that as you drive onto campus . We aim to develop responsible life skills in our students, while also keeping them (and you) safe. Please review these important dates and reminders for the good of all!

Chinese Parent Club is a volunteer, non-profit organization. We are an important bridge between parents, our school, PTSA and other school clubs. We provide information and communication channels to enable parents to better understand and participate in various school activities. We have a members only Wechat group which serves as an interactive platform for our members to communicate in school related issues. Each year, we organize events and seminars on parenting and education related topics to help parents in understanding some of the challenges that our children are facing while they are growing and learning. Besides, we also organize Spring Teacher Appreciation Banquet, the Chinese Culture Day and other volunteer works for our school.

We encourage all parents who understand Chinese to join our volunteer team and to participate in our school activities. Through our club activities, you can also meet other parents of our schools. The main source of our funding is coming from annual membership fee. We appreciate your support and join us as members. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] Text

If you have already provided this information to the school there is no need to do so again. PTSA WALK-A-THON NEWS

***************************************************************************************

Dear Highlander Parents, Thank you to all of the families that donated to our FMS PTA Direct Donation campaign at Scottie Days back in August. Through your generosity and support, we raised $5,694.00. As of today, we are still $6,306 short of our fundraising budgeted goal. We need your help to reach our fundraising goal of $12,000 to maintain programs and gifts the FMS PTSA provides to our school. If you were not able to make a donation, its not too late! On Friday, March 17, 2007, Foothills Middle School PTSA will host their 2nd Annual Walk-A-Thon during your student's P.E. period on the Foothills Middle School Track. Please look out for the Walk-A-Thon pledge sheet and envelope that your student will be bringing home from school the week of February 27th. Please note that all money raised will go directly to Foothills Middle School. We welcome direct donations and all checks should be made payable to: Foothills Middle School PTSA. Please feel free to contact Carolyn Prater with any questions [email protected].
