CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2015! Out of this year’s senior class of 32, 7 students will be entering the workforce, 1 training for further certification, and 24 with plans of going on for either their associates or bachelors degree. At this time, these students have earned over $469,120 in scholarships! RETIREMENTS Jennings Local School District would like to thank Mrs. Shellie Wurst and Mrs. Linda Gasser for their years of service to the students and school community. Congratulations and Happy Retirement! NEW STAFF Jennings Local will have four new employees to start the year off next year. Tiffany Culp will be the new 4th grade teacher, Hunter Bosch the new 7-12 Math teacher, Melissa Rau will be driving bus #3 and Lindsay Neidert will be in the custodial department. LUNCH PRICE INCREASE FOR 2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR Next year lunch prices are: Grades K-6 = $2.30 Grades 7-12 = $2.40 *A la carte prices will be announced in the fall. ELEMENTARY We had another successful and productive school year. Below you will find a few reminders and dates to keep in mind for next school year. th  Kindergarten Orientation will take place on August 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you have not received your Kindergarten information in the mail, please contact the elementary school office at 419-286-2238.

Elementary School Open House will be held on August 18 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Drop off for students in the morning should not be earlier than 7:55 a.m. on regular days and 9:55 a.m. on two hour delay days. Take note of the lunch price increase outlined in this newsletter. Remember that students with insufficient lunch funds will not be permitted to purchase extra main entrees. Students wishing to use personal devices at school will be required to, along with their parent/guardian review, sign, and return a copy of the Fort Jennings Acceptable Use Policy. Fort Jennings Elementary School offers a summer reading intervention rd th program if numbers are sufficient. If you have a child entering the 3 or 4 grade and are interested in taking advantage of the program, please contact the elementary school office at the number above.

SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM This is a required posting for summer feeding programs in the area: Lima City Schools offer a summer lunch program for children: ages 1 year to 18 years. Served at Heritage Elementary, Independence Elementary, Liberty Arts Magnet , South Sci-Tech and Unity. Offered June 6 thru August 4, 2016, Monday thru Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PAINT THE PLOW The Fort Jennings plow will be put into service this winter, keep an eye out for it. Thanks to Mrs. Noriega, Breanne Neidert, Morgan Boggs, and Jacie Thomas for painting the plow. Looks Great!

AMERICAN HUEY 369 th Thanks again to Huey 369 for visiting our staff and students on May 20 . Everyone was excited to get an up close look at the helicopter and crew. They will be back th st once again during the FORT FEST celebration on August 19 through 21 .
