Junior Bison Boys Basketball Tournament Tournament Dates April 24th-25th-26th in Winnipeg.
All teams will be guaranteed 4 scheduled games with 4 teams minimum entered per division. 8 teams maximum per division - first come first serve basis, no team registered until payment received. We will limit the divisions to 8 teams: first come first serve basis. Every attempt will be made to accommodate travelling teams. No other requests.
Games format:
Four 8 minute quarters – regular stop time, first overtime 2 minutes of regular stop time, all additional overtimes will be 2 minutes running time. Half time is 2minutes, and 1minute between quarters. Teams to be ready to play 10minutes before game time. Teams awarded 3time-outs per game to be taken any time. There is no carryover of time outs to overtime and teams will be awarded 1 time out per overtime period. 24 seconds shot clock for all, administered by the referees. New 3point line effective for all.
Rules and Regulations Regulation FIBA RULES will be used with the following exceptions ONLY:
All divisions 15U – 18U will use a size 7 (29.5) ball. All divisions 11U - 14U will use a size 6 (28.5) ball. NO ZONE (including zone press) will be allowed in the 15U (born 2000) division and younger. NO PRESSING from the leading team if the point differential is over 15 points (all divisions). 12U DIVISION ONLY : NO DOUBLE TEAM ANYTIME-ANYWHERE (Referees, Coaches, Volunteers are not allowed to bend the rules during the tournament) Tiebreaking procedure to determine placing is as follows: -1st tie breaker: head to head results involving all teams tied -2nd tie breaker: point differential system -3rd tie breaker: highest amount of points scored in pool. -4thtiebreaker: coin flip.

Organisation reserves the right to take any disciplinary sanction to ensure the respect of the rules in the tournament. Any violent conduct verbal or physical, from players, coaches or public won’t be tolerated. No refund after registration.
