2014 Global Gallery Night Sponsored by Fort Worth ISD’s World Languages Department Dear teachers, We look forward to working with Fort Worth ISD World Languages faculty and students to prepare for the 2014 Global Gallery Night at the Kimbell Art Museum on Friday, April 11, 5:00–8:00 PM. Please relay these important messages to students who would like to participate: 1.
Students should submit their two choices for artworks immediately. Gallery space is limited, and assignments are firstcome, first-served. The list of selected artworks and the orientation reservation form are on the following pages.
2.
Orientations are mandatory. Students who do not attend one of the orientations may not participate in Global Gallery Night. All orientations begin at 4:15 pm.
3.
Start preparing presentations early; and practice, practice, practice!
4.
Visit www.kimbellart.org and click on “Collections” to view reproductions and read reliable information about selected artworks. The Kimbell will provide CD-Roms with PowerPoint presentations featuring all of the Global Gallery Night artwork selections.
5.
Support other student presenters when you are not speaking yourself. Global Gallery Night is also about being part of a supportive and enthusiastic audience.

Invite your friends and family!

Arrive on time and stay on schedule. Students are requested to arrive at 5 p.m.; the event begins at 6 p.m. Presenters and audience members will meet in the Kahn Building auditorium for the introduction.
8.
Students are representing their schools, the district, and the Kimbell Art Museum. Act and dress appropriately.
9.
This event will take place in two buildings on the Kimbell Art Museum campus. Some selections for Spanish language students and all Chinese and Japanese language students are displayed in the new Piano Pavilion. The other featured artworks are located in the Kahn Building.
