Welcome The meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m.

Reports 3.1 President – L. Choptiany  L. Choptiany reported that she had met with Arthur, Dana and Conrad to discuss procedures regarding processing of membership funds. Membership deposit forms and procedures to be followed have been finalized.  Thanks to Maureen for sending out the flyer for the May 30 Spring Luncheon.

Membership Report – A. Donin A. Donin reported that CCRA has gained eight new members, including one retiree who will be retiring next year. He is working on an automatic email system for new members who register with CCRA. Current CCRA membership numbers on the database total 152. The following suggestions were made for member retention and also to solicit new members: - additional information mailings - conduct a phone blitz - free first year memberships for new retirees who join CCRA - check the Vine for names of new retirees and follow up with HR asking them to collect the filled-in CCRA retiree membership forms - design a membership card with goals and information about CCRA to give to members who still haven’t joined - advertise what CCRA has done - L. Choptiany and A. Donin will compile a membership presentation for the General Meeting in the fall.

Treasurer – C. D’Souza C. D’Souza presented CCRA’s year-end statements noting a $5,000 difference in last year’s assets (GICs and interest). The GIC has been reinvested at 3.9%. Conrad expressed thanks to Ing Sutano, from Centennial’s financial team, who completed the audit for CCRA again this year. Conrad suggested that CCRA might want to consider buying its own laptop and projector. Roy and Arthur agreed to investigate the idea and report back to the Board. Moved by F. Roy Seconded by R. Leslie That the CCRA 2006 Year-End Statements be accepted as presented. Carried

You & Your Health Sessions – April 30, 2007  Comments received from attendees The health sessions held on April 30 were well attended and responses were positive. Additional sessions will be planned for next year and again, both retirees and College employees will be invited. Suggestions from the comment sheets for future sessions included topics on nutrition, physical fitness for older adults, self-actualization, computer help for seniors, volunteer activities in the city.

Annual Spring Luncheon – May 30, 2007  Final Plans  R. Knapp, D. Gour, and M. Bavington will greet guests at the front door  L. Choptiany will look after signage and a gift for the guest speaker  M. Bavington will book the audio visual equipment for the guest speaker

CCRA Director Position Descriptions Position descriptions for Treasurer, Webmaster and Secretary were reviewed and edited. The updated descriptions will be brought back to the Board for final review.

General Meeting Plans The following directors, whose first term of office expires in 2007, agreed to renew for one more 3-year term: Conrad D’Souza, Brent Davies, Robyn Knapp, Fred Roy and Barry Sanderson The invite to the General Meeting to be held October 17, 2007 will be mailed September 12, 2007 with a reply requested by October 3, 2007.

Newsletter Deadline for publishing June 15, 2007.

Other Business R. Leslie requested an ad to be posted on the CCRA website for volunteers for Trillium, a property management company with opportunities available in engineering, and mechanical support.
