Principals and SAC Chairs, SAC chairs received an email from another SAC chair at the end of January with comparative analysis of achievement data by school (see below). The district has received questions about this analysis. Although there are many ways to evaluate and rank a school’s performance, Jeffco Public Schools uses the Colorado Department of Education’s official school performance framework (SPF) to determine a school’s official academic performance rating. Please consult the Colorado Department of Education’s website for the official performance results: http://www.cde.state.co.us/schoolview/performance. Any questions or comments about the analysis shared below should be directed to the author of the report. I have also attached a column I recently wrote comparing this school performance metric to others that one often encounters. I hope you find this information useful in your outreach work. Very truly yours, Tom Coyne
