International Conference on Concrete Engineering and Technology (CONCET) is a biennial conference organized by Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Malaya and The Institution of Engineers Malaysia chaired on a rotational basis. CONCET aims to bring together engineering and construction practitioners, scientists, academicians and researchers to share their knowledge, expertise and experience in relations to concrete engineering and technology. CONCET 2009 is the tenth meeting of the minds after the inaugural CONCET conducted in 1989. ADVANCES IN CONCRETE ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY is the centerpiece of CONCET 2009. The proposed conference is an initiative to provide a fresh perspective on the latest development in concrete engineering and technology. The conference also aims to discuss related research, methodologies, directions and other important issues of concrete engineering. Special emphasis will be given to sustainable material, robust designs as well as maintenance and repair due to the fact that most of the recent reported findings and development in the area of concrete engineering and technology are conducted or targeted towards dynamic and blast resistance concrete designs.

In conjunction with CONCET 2009, a post-conference workshop will also be held on 5th March 2009 addressing key issues in Concrete Engineering and Technology. INVITATION AND CALL FOR PAPERS All industries practitioners, researchers, scientist, academicians and researchers are invited to attend this conference. Technical papers, technical features of case studies, novel and innovative ideas, new technologies or related themes under the proposed topic areas are invited for presentation in the conference. Abstracts for early bird registration must reach the secretariat before 1st December 2007. It shall be in English of about 300 words, listing five keywords. All abstracts must be written in MS Word and kindly submit to the secretariat through email at [email protected].
