New Federal Policy Needed For Cell Phone and Wireless Radiation Safety
Nine of the most influential health and fitness physicians in the U.S. have warned the public
about the health risks of cell phone radiation and the need for precaution: Drs. Mehmet Oz, Sanjay Gupta, David Katz, Andrew Weil, Joel Fuhrman, Frank Lipman, Joseph Mercola, Mike Roizen, and Mark Hyman. What do these doctors know that the Federal government refuses to tell us? Will the Congress or the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) strengthen the 18-year-old cell phone radiation safety standards?
Peer-reviewed research published in 2013 found … A tripled risk of brain cancer
Associated with 25 or more years of cell phone and cordless phone use.
2½ times more likely to develop acoustic neuroma tumors In women who used cell phones 10 or more years. Amount of cell phone use predicted risk among children with slightly elevated blood lead levels. With 30 minutes of exposure to LTE 4th generation Altered brain activity on both sides of head cell phone.

In 2013 … the FCC requested public input on its regulatory limits on cell phone radiation. o The American Academy of Pediatrics urged the FCC to adopt standards that reflect how people actually use their cell phones and that protect children's health from cell phone and wireless radiation. o The cities of Boston and Philadelphia accused the FCC and Federal health agencies of negligence for failing to investigate whether electrosensitive persons are harmed by cell phone radiation. o Tom Wheeler, former chief lobbyist for the cellular industry, was appointed chair of the FCC, raising concerns among health and environmental advocates that the FCC will not strengthen our nation’s inadequate and obsolete cell phone radiation standards. The World Health Organization in a 471-page report concluded there is now “limited evidence” in both humans and laboratory animals that radiofrequency radiation, especially from cell phones, causes cancer. The European Environment Agency (EEA) called on its 33 member nations to reconsider current exposure standards and reduce cell phone radiation exposure especially among children and young adults who are at greatest tumor risk; to require labels and warnings on cell phones; and to fund “urgently needed research into the health effects of phones” and mobile phone towers; the EEA also recommended texting, use of hands-free sets, and improved cell phone design. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Unified School District adopted a plan to install Wi-Fi in every classroom and provide every student with a wireless tablet despite opposition from the American Academy of Pediatrics and other health experts. Throughout the nation, many school districts have adopted this imprudent policy which increases students’ exposure to potentially harmful wireless radiation in school.
