November means holidays right around corner As the winter comes near and the coats start coming out, we all know what holiday is coming next— Thanksgiving is only in 22 days! Thanksgiving means all the food you can imagine and lots of family time. For my Hear me. . . T h a n k s g i v i n g , my family and I follow the tradition of going to Mallory Junso a Hot Springs ranch to hunt. Who doesn’t love family time, hunting and some hot chocolate after a long morning? After a cold day of duck and pheasant hunting, we all sit by the big, hot fireplace to warm up. My black lab, Remmi, loves Thanksgiving hunting more than anything. Before we head out to Thanksgiving, my sister and I cook the Hershey’s Kiss cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies,

sour cream cookies and sugar cookies. No one can have enough cookies, or enough food at Thanksgiving time! Our next favorite holiday quickly follows Thanksgiving. There are now only 54 days until Christmas, and I am already being asked to start my Christmas list. Christmas means more family time and lots of games. Also, what every girl has been waiting for—Hallmark Channel movies! When I was little, I loved waking up everyone in the house to see what Santa got us. Of course, it was just what I asked for. Thankfully, if you still “believe” you still get presents from Santa. My favorite part about Christmas is setting up the tree and putting all the decorations on it. But most importantly, the star on top. So Warriors, make sure to enjoy this great time of year and everything that comes with it and make sure to spoil your loved ones this Christmas! Nicaragua signs Paris climate deal (TNS) MANAGUA, Nicaragua — Nicaragua has signed the Paris climate deal, the country’s vice president confirmed this week, leaving the United States and Syria as the only two nations to not lend their support to the international treaty.

Your green world

Rosario Murillo said that President Daniel Ortega had signed the Central American nation on to the deal even though the government still had misgivings about it. In a joint letter to the United Nations, published online by Nicaraguan newspaper El 19, Murillo and Ortega said that although the Paris deal was “not ideal” it was the “only instrument” to prevent contamination that was poisoning the planet. Adopted by nearly 200 countries during a conference in Paris in December 2015, the document lays out a 31-page plan that seeks to keep global average temperature rise to below 2 degrees Celsius, limit greenhouse gas emissions and also remove them from the atmosphere. President Donald Trump announced June 1 that he would withdraw the United States from the Paris climate agreement, but he also left open the door to negotiating a better deal for U.S. businesses and workers. Trump’s decision only began the process of withdrawal, a move that will not be completed until 2020. In the meantime, his administration is not holding itself to commitments, made during predecessor Barack Obama’s time in office, to limit emissions and otherwise abide by the deal.
