10 Year Memorial Service for Ms. Hilda Taylor Sierra Leonean Victim of the September 11th at the U.S. Pentagon

The Honorable Mayor Vincent Gray of Washington, DC released a proclamation to honor victims 9/11, in which he announced that the District of Columbia will sponsor many events from September 9-11, 2011 to honor those who lost their lives during the tragic September 11, 2001 terrorists’ attacks and to recognize our first responders. The theme of the three-day observance, “One city…One world…Peace, Tolerance, Serve and Remembrance is designed to honor the lives of three DC Public Schools (DCPS) students, three DCPS teachers and two National Geographers staffers who died in one of the planes hijacked on that tragic day.

It is in this light that the families of Ms. Hilda Taylor, a former dedicated school teacher at M.V. Leckie Elementary in Washington DC, SW, who unfortunately became a victim in a plane crash at Pentagon during the terrorists attack on USA, in September 2001, while taking a student from M.V. Leckie Elementary school on a geographic and science tour to California and SALCORE, on behalf of the Ms. Taylor’s Family, invite you to celebrate and commemorate the 10 years memorial service of Ms. Hilda Taylor who was born and nurtured in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
