Public Comments This is the time set aside for citizens to address the City Council on issues within the City Council’s jurisdiction that are not on the posted agenda this evening. The Mayor will ask for a show of hands of those individuals present who wish to address the Council. Individual speakers are asked to keep spoken comments within a five-minute duration, although this time limit may be modified based on the number of people who indicate their desire to address the Council. California law prohibits the City Council from taking action on any item not appearing on the posted agenda except that Council may refer the matter to staff for follow-up or request it be placed on a future agenda.
